Culture strongly influences our thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and behaviours. It impacts on the way we relate to others, the way we dress, eat, speak and live our lives. For this reason, a little cultural understanding can go a long way when dealing with people from different backgrounds.
Connect with the land, grow in cultural awareness and develop respect for Australia’s first people in this two-day adventure camp. Through amazing experiences with nature and culture, students will learn bush survival skills including bush tucker, traditional hunting and tracking skills, teamwork, kayaking, snorkelling and feeding of sub-tropical fish species, presentation skills, risk management, and Indigenous cultural stories and language.
This camp is designed to enhance employability skills by promoting engagement, tolerance, respect, team work, confidence and leadership. With increased diversity in the workplace and multicultural emphasis in society, cultural awareness has become one of the most important business tools in almost every industry. Many interview procedures and applications will now included questions in relation to your understanding of cultural awareness
